Is your recruitment process working for you? If not, Nottingham Jobs could have the answer. The City-based service offers local employers free support with recruitment – and even cash to get the staff they need.
Grants Are Available to Hire New Talent
The most valuable resource for any small business is the people who work there. But sometimes, finding new talent presents a huge amount of pressure on resources. The Nottingham Jobs team have helped thousands of employers to find new talent and access funding to help them recruit.
Nottingham City Council’s Nottingham Jobs Fund Plus scheme can provide a grant of up to £7,500 to help your business recruit – and a young person to reach their full potential. You could receive a payment of up to 70% of your new employee’s National Minimum Wage* plus a £500 contribution to the costs of their training and a dedicated mentor who will provide ongoing support both to the employee and your business.
Boost Your Business Results
And if you want to create a Traineeship or an Apprenticeship, we can also help there. Lump sum payments are available for businesses that want to create a training opportunity and support an unemployed 16-24 year old in Nottingham into work. With Apprenticeships available in more than 1500 job roles, we can find the best match for your business. And it works – 89% of employers who take on an Apprentice report that it has helped them improve the quality of their product or service.
Whether you are a sole trader or a national brand, we have the resources and expertise to help you find the right staff. When you work with us, we assign a dedicated account manager, who will design a bespoke package of support for your business. We can advertise your vacancies to active jobseekers, screen potential candidates, and access funding – and best of all, our service is completely free.
The £6.8m Nottingham Works initiative is supporting 2800 young people who are at risk of social exclusion because they have no work or job prospects. The Nottingham Works programme, funded by Nottingham City Council, the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI), works with employers to offer them support to create jobs, Traineeships and Apprenticeships.
