Course Overview

This two-day programme is specifically designed for SMEs who employ staff and have people in a team leader/manager role. It is also ideal for those businesses that have identified potential leaders and wish to ensure the essential basic building blocks of that role are put in place.

The theme running throughout the programme is business-related and will uniquely interweave leadership and business skills.

In addition to covering the essential leadership and business models, there will be practical activities for delegates to try out and learn from realistic activities.

The programme will be highly interactive with a realistic business case study theme running throughout.

There will be several self-analysis activities where delegates can, in a safe environment look at, for example, their preferred leadership style and the impact this can have in a number of work-related scenarios.

The theory of leading and being part of a business is just one small part of the jigsaw. It is only when you truly understand yourself, the good and bad bits, that you can then evolve and achieve your true potential

Your Trainer

Mike Howsley runs 3 diverse successful businesses, as well as delivering business start-up courses for NBV, with many well-known household names as his customers.
Mike served in HM forces as a SNCO and transferred their best practices into the civilian market. His career has included the role as Head of Management Development for a major blue-chip company where recruiting and developing future leaders from the shop floor was essential for their business success.

Spending 4 years as an ILM accredited trainer allowed Mike to work with many small local companies across the East Midlands developing their workforce capability.
